Export your Exchequer data
Your data belongs to you - so let's get it out
In these uncertain times for Exchequer, retaining access to your data is key for your business. To help you take control, our team has developed an Exchequer Data Export Tool. Designed to extract key data, you can use it for backup security - or as part of your journey to a new system.

Exchequer versions supported
Our tool is designed to work with all versions of Exchequer (Pervasive or MS-SQL) but there may well be some differences in exported data between Exchequer versions (v7.x to 2016.x etc). If unsure, feel free to try our demo licence (see below).

Some finer details of the tool
-
How much does the tool cost?
The tool is available as a one-off licence for £1,995. Once you have the licence you can run the tool as often as you like - so you can use it for backup security, or as part of a longer term plan to move on. Option wise, this is a very low cost, low risk solution - verses the expensive RTU route.
(Please Get in touch to request a demo licence - and give it a try..!)
-
What data does the tool extract?
There are a number of options within the tool that determine what data you wish to extract, as well as what companies you wish to extract. The key data that can be extracted covers;
: Master records; customers, suppliers, products and projects
: Minor records; cost centres, departments, GL, VAT, currency, locations, employees, analysis
: Transactions; sales, purchase, open items (unpaid)
: Supplemental; master file notes, transactions notes
: Links; the file links (path/filename, or URL) stored on master or transactions
-
How long does the extract take?
As expected, this is dependant upon the size of your data and whether Pervasive or MS-SQL. To help you gauge any expected time, we do have a demo licence available for you to review (below).
(Please Get in touch to request a demo licence.)
-
What format does the data come out in?
We export data in Excel CSV and JSON. Due to the nature of the complicated data structures (one to many etc), the CSV extracts provide single line extracted details only. JSON, being a complex data structure that can handle multi-level information, supports nested detail (lines, links, notes etc).
-
Do you have a demo licence that we can use before we purchase?
Yes, by default, the extract tool will run in demo mode (without a licence key). When in demo mode, the tool will extract 200 records maximum of each data object (customer, transactions etc).

-
Can the exported data from the tool be pushed in to another finance system?
In theory, the answer is YES, but in practice, this can be hard or lengthy to achieve. All accounting systems tend to have different formats, references or requirements and so, in most cases, you would normally just load the outstanding items we extract (plus opening balances) to your new system.
The data extracted via our export tool will always now be available to you in Excel for example. Should you then need to refer to this information, you can use this source (rather than Exchequer). - which is a low cost option to use - verses the RTU cost that will likely be proposed.
If your new system supports our extracted data, such as iplicit, you can in fact load our export tool data in to a special enquiry area in their system. Although not exactly an Exchequer view, iplicit provide a lookup/search/enquiry. (FYI: Iplicit also discuss the RTU scenario and the options on their blog).
